Ben Davis is a partner in the Corporate Department and a member of The Private Credit Group and The Finance Group. Proskauer’s Private Credit Group is ranked Tier 1 by Chambers UK and the team is described as “exceptionally diligent and commercial” and having a “dedicated focus on private credit.”
Ben’s practice focuses on advising on acquisition and leveraged finance facilities and debt restructurings in the middle market and upper market. He represents a variety of clients including private credit funds, alternative lenders and private equity sponsors on unitranche loans, second-lien financings, first out / last out structures, holdco PIK and other subordinated facilities, preferred equity investments, special situations, litigation funding and distressed situations among other innovative, first-in-kind transactions involving private sources of capital.
Ben is recognised as a 'leading individual' for acquisition finance by Legal 500 UK, where he has been noted as "understanding the requirements of alternative lenders" and having "a deep knowledge of the market" and a “prolific” practice.
Chambers UK highlighted that Ben "gets the deal done and is very knowledgeable and experienced" and has an "ability to work [on] complex deals." He has also been recognized as a highly regarded banking and financial restructuring lawyer by IFLR 1000.
